The DermatoPlex assay is a single-well real-time PCR multiplex for detection of the common fungi causing dermatophytosis: Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex, Trichophyton rubrum complex and a selection of Candida spp including C. albicans, C. orthopsilosis, and C. parapsilosis as well as Nacaseomyces glabrata (formerly C. glabrata) and Kluyveromyces marxianus (formerly C. tropicalis). The detection chemistry utilises PlexPCR® (PlexZyme® & PlexPrime®) technology.

Why use DermatoPlex?

  • Provides 4 readouts
    • Readout 1 detects T. mentagrophytes
    • Readout 2 detects T. rubrum
    • Readout 3 detects Candida spp (also including Nacaseomyces glabrata (formerly C. glabrata) and Kluyveromyces marxianus (formerly C. tropicalis))  
    • Readout 4 is a control to monitor extraction efficiency and qPCR inhibition
  • Compatible with liquid handling systems, 96- and 384-well reaction formats
  • Compatible with the  real-time detection system:
