Prospective Evaluation Study for ResistancePlus® MG

Journal of Clinical Microbiology Logo

A prospective evaluation study published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology evaluated our ResistancePlus® MG assay against 1089 symptomatic and asymptomatic male and female urine and anogenital swab samples.

Key Findings

  • 6% positive for M. genitalium.
  • 63.1% having macrolide resistance associated mutations.

This assay offers a considerable advantage in clinical settings for M. genitalium testing by making the results of macrolide resistance mutation simultaneously available, which is increasingly important with escalating macrolide resistance.
