Aussie ‘Nobel’ spotlights SpeeDx war on superbug
Cicada Innovations, a “super incubator”, and headquarters for the SpeeDx office, manufacturing and production facilities, have created an event to celebrate Australia’s progress in science-based innovation. The Nobel committee in Sweden granted Cicada permission to use their name and recreate their prestigious event. Finalists for Cicada’s Nobel awards include SpeeDx’s Chief Scientific Officer, Alison Todd. Todd is recognized for her work in creating the fundamentals of the technology that helps physicians fight against superbugs. SpeeDx technologies focus on faster, simpler, cheaper ways of analysing the genetics of pathogens and human sequences.
